Today was the "day of the new backpack." Sean was in need of a new one because the other one had come un-stitched. I know I should spring for a good one, but these themed ones make him so happy. So he went to school with a new Transformers backpack, a new Thermos with Bakugans on it and a beverage Thermos with Bakugans on it too. These last 2 items didn't come cheap, seeing that they are real Thermos and there's the Bakugan name. But they really hold his food hot and his juice cold, and he absolutely loves them!

Super Bowl XLIV.
Saints vs Colts.
I'll be honest, I don't follow enough football to know which team to root for.
So I usually ask Keith which team he's rooting for, since I like to be cheering for a specific team, kwim?
But this time around, I knew enough to make up my own mind.
I knew this was the Saints' first time at the Big Game, so I decided to give them my support (although I wouldn't have been heartbroken if the Colts had won.)
Keith and his dad were rooting for the Colts.
Guess who won? ;)

We went to Costco around lunch time, so we decided to treat the kids to hot-dogs and fries on the way out. There was to big a lineup, however, so we ended up going to "La Belle Province", a hamburger joint. I can honestly say I do *not* remember the last time I was there.

(ok, I love my 50mm lens. Love it! But I can't seem to get this focus thing right. See how blurry his face is? I realize the focus was done on the pamphlet, but I would've liked it to be on that AND on his face, kwim? Should I not stand so close?)

Every winter, there's an event where I live called "Ste-Rose en Blanc". Basically, different winter activities are available for the entire family. Sean is lucky enough to attend a school that is right nearby (I'm not kidding you: the city actually rented out the school's parking lot for one of the activities!) So they got to spend the day there today. How fun is that?! According to him, he "sled on the ice and went in a house that had a maze inside." Don't know exactly what it means, it's the most I could get out of him! :) Since I wasn't there for pictures, I figured I'd take a pic of him, fresh back from school, with the pamphlet we got describing all the activities.

I've had some white hair since I was 24. I do color it, but not on a regular basis, and always at home. I simply don't have the money to spend on salon coloring. This time around, I tried something slightly darker, since the color never comes out as dark as what I see on the box... except this time! This dark hair doesn't really suit me, but I'm not obsessing about it. It'll start fading soon enough anyway! :)

Today was pretty uneventful. Kira had a bad night because of the pain in her mouth, which means we all had a bad night! So today was spent cuddling and taking naps. After Sean came back from school, Kira tried on some clothes that used to belong to Melissa. On this pic, she is wearing size 11 patent-leather shoes (she wears size 8) and size 6X pajamas (she wears size 2-3!) She felt so pretty, LOL! The kids are watching TV, lying on the floor like they often do. You can see Sean with his Transformers. They hardly ever leave his side. He gave them up for a while in favor of Bakugans, but he's back to his first love!

Remember when I mentioned that Kira was hurting in her mouth? It got so bad that I decided to go to the clinic to see what was wrong. Turns out my baby has an ulcer in the space between her gums and her cheek! The doc told me exactly what type of ulcer it is (wrote it down somewhere) and he said it's really painful... Poor sweetheart! You can't treat it, it goes away on its own. He did give her the medicine usually used to treat stomach ulcers. Fifteen minutes before she eats, I have to put it in her mouth and have her hold it there for 5 minutes. It's supposed to coat her ulcer and at least help with the pain. I'm not sure she'll be able to do that, we'll see...
